David Murphy develops marketing and communications programs for CenturyLink’s colocation services business. He is responsible for thought-leadership, event-marketing, customer-retention and customer-origination programs for global data centers and colocation services. Prior to CenturyLink, David led global marketing efforts for Elekta, a $1.5 billion radiotherapy medical device company, including promoting medical software and technology solutions through product launches, clinical-user communities and retention programs. His marketing communications background includes stints at J. Walter Thompson and Saatchi & Saatchi. David holds a degree from Connecticut College plus graduate-level course study at the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School as well as Harvard University. His focus on marketing and communications includes a global scope on behaviors, attitudes and selection-criteria to drive awareness and preference for products and solutions.
